Yesterday afternoon, elected officials, community members, our staff, and local merchants were joined by Pratt Institute President Dr. Thomas Schutte to dedicate one of Myrtle Avenue’s custom tree benches to current Public Advocate and former Council Member Letitia “Tish” James.

New York State Assemblyman Joseph Lentol, Current 35th District Council Member Laurie Cumbo, New York State Assemblymember Walter T. Mosely, Acting Executive Director Meredith Phillips Almeida, and Pratt Institute President Dr. Thomas Schutte spoke about Tish’s dedication to the neighborhood and Myrtle Avenue.

The dedicated bench is located at 482 Myrtle Avenue, on the corner of Hall Street.  Before and after the speeches, attendees enjoyed fresh slices from Liberty Pizza.
