Our friends at FOKUS  present new prints from The Earth Warrior‘s photographic series, “A Ribbon Around a Bomb” at T/PSY in Clinton Hill,  opening this Friday, March 28th with a reception from 5pm-9pm. The event celebrates Woman’s HERstory month, with the artist and her works also featured in FOKUS’ ongoing online museum, #FOKUSonher. RSVP here.

“A Ribbon Around a Bomb” is a portraiture series, which examines the myriad of dualities featured in Frida Kahlo’s life + work and mirrors them against womyn in the artist’s own life. The sample of the series on view for this show contains 8 (of 21) digital color portraits + the accompanying written reflections of womyn who live passionately + courageously, exploring the ideas of femininity + fearlessness.
