New "W" Bike Rack

NYC DOT installed 32 much-needed “U” bike racks (pictured below) on Myrtle Avenue between Flatbush and Classon in Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.  DOT also moved some of the existing “W” racks to areas of high need (above at Vanderbilt Avenue).

These racks are generally painted black and match Myrtle Avenue’s black streetlights and tree guards.  Some of the recently installed racks are not painted but will be shortly.

Bicycle infrastructure, such as bike parking and bike lanes, allows more customers to visit and shop on Myrtle Avenue.  This is especially true for an area with a substantial biking community.
