Sky's the Limit: Cielo Bar @ 474 Myrtle

Gil Rivera, Jr. plans to open his Cielo Bar at 474 Myrtle Avenue between Washington Avenue and Hall Street in October. He's absolutely no stranger to the neighborhood, having been raised in a home not far off of Myrtle, to a family that owns local businesses and properties (Park Avenue Building & Roofing Supplies on Atlantic Avenue is a family business) and as the son of two powerhouse parents who've lived and breathed giving back. Cielo means 'sky' in spanish and amongst other things, expresses the planned trajectory of the new bar.

The nearly 2000sf bar with shades of light gray and patches of lovely tilework will feature a concise menu of delicious Latin American plates, excellent cocktails and great ice cold beer. Flat screens, private and semi-private rooms in back, 78 chairs (at the bar and around) and special events are a few things to look forward.

Heads up to all Brooklyn artists--Cielo is on the lookout for artwork. Connect to Cielo Bar on Facebook for additional information.
