DC Optics opens this Thursday, 6/28! Stop in!

So excited about DC Optics biz opening tomorrow, Thursday, 6/28! Dennis Cheng, optometrist and owner of the eponymous optical store has lots planned opening day and thereafter.

Good to meet someone with so much passion and excitement for his work that he can even make a classroom of 1st graders shout, "glasses are cool!"

The mission of DC Optics is to provide the highest quality eye care in a relaxed and friendly environment with an emphasis on community outreach and charity work. (DC Optics provides exams and eyewear to children in local schools.)

For opening day, expect two raffles for eyeglass frames, one to be held on opening day for 141 Eyewear frames (a cool company that with every pair of eyeglasses purchased, donates one pair to a child in need (1 for 1 ["141"]).

The second raffle will be held on Monday, 7/2 (stop by and take a pic of yourself trying on a frame and post and tag on your Facebook wall to enter raffle, 3 entries per person allowed) for ECO Eyewear frames. ECO is another cool company that carries 95% recycled frames, plants a tree for every frame purchased and donates 1% of each sale to charity.

Also planned:

  • free upgrade on lenses with the purchase of a complete pair of glasses.

  • free vision screening (residual and 3D) on opening day thru Sunday for kids and teens up to age 18.

  • free gift with Facebook, Foursquare or Yelp check-in.

  • and expect Dr. Cheng’s adorable French bull dog, Ollie to be at the office from time to time!

  • and lots more fun!

Hope to see you at DC Optics!
