Greene Hill School students explore Myrtle, the neighborhood!

This past Fall, 7 year olds, through a class project, were charged with conducting a neighborhood study. Students participated in mapmaking, neighborhood walks and focused trips to various local places, including businesses, schools, parks, and residences.

The pics above are based on a visit to Myrtle Avenue. As per teacher, Mr. Choi, "As part of the study, students surveyed businesses along Myrtle Avenue between Carlton and Vanderbilt and made inferences and connections about the needs and wants of people of our local Fort Greene based on the data gathered."

The Greene Hill School is located at 39 Adelphi Street.
