A fire broke out at 446 Myrtle Avenue (corner of Waverly), just after 7pm tonight. Firefighters worked quickly and seemed to be able to contain the fire to the upper part of the building. It appeared that no resident injuries were sustained. One firefighter, thankfully appearing fully alert, was seen carried away from the scene on a stretcher.
