Bye Bye, Bird(ie) Town

Myrtle Avenue Bird Town, our friendly little neighborhood of bird houses at Fort Greene Park and the Carlton Triangle, is leaving us this Saturday! Oh how we will miss those whimsical, delightful little homes made from everything from metrocards to gourds! If you haven't checked it out, try to do so, or maybe stop by and meet local artists Daniel Goers and Jennifer Wong as they pack things up on Saturday at noon. Where will they go, you ask? The artists are donating a few of the houses to local community gardens, keeping a few faves for themselves and giving some away as gifts to friends and family for the holidays.
