Farmer in the Deli on neighborhood NYTimes blog - The Local

The Farmer in the Deli (best recognized by the sign in the window boasting “We Don’t Make Sandwiches; We Build Them!”), received a write up in the NYTimes FG&CH blog , the Local, on Monday.

Pete Wells, the New York Times Dining section editor; Andy Newman of The Local; Robin Lester of Clinton Hill Blog and her fiancé Will Kenton, and BK Nesto of the Clinton Hill Chill blog, analyzed and praised the exemplary sandwich architecture taking place behind the counter at this 24 hr Myrtle Avenue destination.

The only complaint from the Local seemed to be the line, rumored to wind through the aisles. Don't worry, this line will be alleviated when the Farmer in the Deli opens their new shop down the street at 336 Myrtle! The new shop will apply the Farmer’s passion to please and high sandwich standards to muffins, donuts, ice cream, salads, gyros, burgers and other hot options. They will also offer coffee, including espresso, and a large selection of cold beverages.

I recommend taking a look at the article here and then taking a walk down Myrtle to try out one of the Farmer's delicious ‘sammies’.
