Since 1886, University Settlement has been providing a variety of effective and strengths-based, community-based programs for youth and families. In January 2010, we will open a new Cornerstone Program at the Ingersoll Community Center in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. The Center is an 18,000-square-foot facility that includes a gym, computer center, art studio, library, classrooms and meeting spaces; we will offer multi-generational programming that is responsive to and reflects the specific needs of the neighborhood. The Center will be open six days a week and provide targeted programming for youth ages 5 through 21, with additional programs for adults. The Assistant Program Director will partner with the Program Director on all day-to-day operations at the site. The position requires a creative, energetic, experienced team-building leader committed to providing the highest quality of programming for children and families.
