MONTEBRUNO - Joe Pedicini, the winemaker/owner will be on hand to pour his own wines. Joe's a good friend, great guy and a former WSET Diploma classmate/drinking buddy. Montebruno follows sustainable or stricter winemaking and grape-growing practices. They are certified by both Salmon Safe and LIVE (Low Input Viticulture and Enology, Inc).
2007 Montebruno Pinot Blanc, Willamette Valley, OR - $17.50 Sourced entirely from the Deerhaven Vyd, this is fairly crisp and elegant for a Pinot Blanc. Beautifully structured with tropical and citrus flavors and some granite minerality.
2007 Montebruno Gewurztraminer, Willamette Valley, OR - $17.50 A rare, bone-dry Gewurztraminer sourced from 30-yr old vines from Mary's Peak Vyd. The lack of sweetness tones down the lychee/orange peel flavors revealing gorgeous rose petal and cardamom notes.
2006 Montebruno Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, OR - $45 Whole berries are de-stemmed and fermented with wild, indigenous yeasts in small, open tanks - a traditional method that brings out old-world terroir from Oregon. A wonderful example of a low tech/manual labor-intensive wine.
