Block Party Draws a Crowd

Yesterday's Block Party on Clinton Avenue at Myrtle, hosted by the BID, BAM, and Afro-Punk, drew a huge crowd of dancers, vendors , shoppers, and spectators. DJ Rich Medina extended his set another hour to keep the crowd happy, the t-shirt screen printing was hugely popular, and residents were out on their stoops, porches, and roofs, enjoying the music and people watching.

We'd like to thank everyone who came, all of the artists and musicians, the residents of Clinton Avenue who hosted us for the day, and BAM and Afro-Punk for partnering with us to put on a great party. Feel free to send us an email with any feedback, to info at myrtleavenue dot org.

I was there. It was a blast! What a great idea to bring this out to Clinton Avenue. I'm already looking forward to next year's block party.
