Belgian Blocks

Don't worry, we're not moving the new trees.

The contractors are just getting ready to install Belgian blocks around their perimeters to continue the consistent look of Belgian block-lined tree pits.

To remind you, we had 9 trees planted this past spring. Here are the types of trees that were recently planted: Hornbeam, Black Locust, Amur Maackia, Hardy Rubber Tree, Silver Linden, Callery Pear, and Honey Locust.

Which is your favorite?

e's Gravatar The Japanese Pagoda (I think I've spelled it correctly?) is my fave, but unfortunately it does not look like any of those have been planted this time around. Not sure if I am familiar with any of the other varieties, but I will take a peek and see which ones of those planted I may like. The 'Hardy Rubber Tree' sounds especially intriguing. I'll check it out.

Myrtle Guy's Gravatar I also love the Japanese Pagoda! Great shade. Nice leaves. Round shape. None of those were planted this spring. The hardy rubber trees are 1) in front of Quiznos and 2) on the side of White Castle (Steuben).
