Zipcar Arrives in Ft Greene/Clinton Hill

It's official. As of today you can pick up a Zipcar on Waverly just north of Myrtle at the DMK Parking Garage, located at 116 Waverly Avenue (Myrtle/Park). The site has five cars, a mix of 4 door Honda and Mazda sedans. (According to Zipcar's website, the Mazdas have good power, which they describe as "zoom zoom".) Since hearing from a large number of area residents a few months back about the desire for Zipcar in the neighborhood, we reached out to them and put them in touch with as many parking garage owners as we knew. We'll continue to work with them to find additional locations near Myrtle wherever possible.

Next week, an additional five cars should become available at the Clermont Armory's parking garage at 171 Clermont Avenue (Myrtle/Willoughby).

Also, efforts are underway to bring more Zip Cars to the southern part of Fort Greene and the eastern part of Clinton Hill. Stay tuned!
