This Saturday: Short Films in Fort Greene Park

Fort Greene Park will be kicking off its summer film series with Rooftop Films this Saturday, June 2nd, on the hill fronting Myrtle Avenue between Washington Park and North Portland. A live music performance will start at 8:30 pm, and the short films program will start at 9 pm. (Raindate is Sunday, June 3rd). Food will be for sale onsite from Castro's Mexican Restaurant, located at 511 Myrtle.

The show, "Black + White = Grey", includes quirky comedies, startling dramas, and powerful political documentaries about racial misunderstandings, subtle deceptions, and flat-out lies. The evening kicks of Rooftop Films' summer film series, with screenings taking place throughout the summer in locations around the city.

Call 718.417.7362, or visit www.rooftopfilms.com for additional information.

The evening is presented in partnership with IFC.com, New York magazine, Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership (that's us) & Council Member Letitia James.

Please check back here, or visit the website of the Fort Greene Park Conservancy for the dates of other film screenings and other events in Fort Greene Park.
