It's My Park Day - this Saturday

Come to Fort Greene Park this Saturday, May 19th, from 10 AM to 1 PM, to help out with plantings, decorate trash cans with images of flora and fauna, and to otherwise beautify our neighborhood park. For more information, visit the NYC Dept of Parks & Recreation or the Fort Greene Park Conservancy websites.

Also, if you haven't seen it yet, the Department of Parks & Recreations named Fort Greene Park as its park of the month for May. The press release provides a good overivew of the park, its history, the new Fort Greene Park Tree Trail, and other current program offerings.

is it just me or does this map make the monument, crypt and courts look like a cock-and-balls story?
